Blogger Tuesday

Happy December 8th! I'll get to the topic of exactly what this picture is about in just a bit, but first, it's time for Blogger Tuesday! This week my pick for Blog of the Week is Kennedy and Vegas' blog! If you remember, Kennedy is the one who made Heffner and Bess their fabulous Care Bear collars! They're also the duo who joined us on the bikejoring outing. Vegas is very active in agility and they're planning on adding some other performance sports in as well. So go check them out and tell them that Heffner and Bess sent you!;o)

Now on to the picture! I know that Bess looks a little horrified in that picture. She was getting a wee bit tired of posing at that point, regardless of how or what I was asking her to do. She was plenty happy when I gave her the release word, but until then, she wasn't thrilled that I was asking her to pose for yet another picture.:oP I was actually hoping to get both of the dogs with their front paws up on the counter there, but neither one of them was going for it, so I figured that standing in front of it was fine enough.

Today's picture has to do with what's in the background of the picture; the Christmas village. I LOVE having a Christmas village. It's something that we always had growing up. My parents, dad especially, are really in to decorating for Christmas as well (are you shocked??), and my dad always paid special attention to the Christmas village. He actually would make and/or buy and paint ceramic houses to add each year. I'm not that creative, so I go out and stimulate the economy by purchasing pre-made pieces.:) Each year I add something new and it's exciting to see it grow. Here's the village as a whole during the day:

And at night:
Some of the sections up close (and yes those are Christmas Care Bears!):

Thanks for sharing our blog, Linds! Great decor...I can't imagine why Bessie was bored with pictures. Pictures happen so rarely in her world. ;-D Must need to find nummier treats for her - I hear bribery works wonders.

Ok, its Saturday, which tells you how far behind we are on blog reading, but we always appreciate Blogger Tuesday and getting to meet a new friend. Thanks.
