Mistletoe!

I don't really have one picture that best sums up the "pose" for today, but it's more of a series of shots.;o)

So happy December 15th!

Today I find myself wondering what in the hell possessed me to think that hosting two holiday gatherings with only one day in between them was a good idea! Seriously! Needless to say, I'm starting to get a little bit stressed. My bunco group is coming over tomorrow evening and I don't even have the food picked out yet. Or drinks. At least the house is pretty much as clean as it's going to get between now and then. Not that that's all that reassuring.

There's a certain number of things that you get used to as a way of life with dogs in general and giant dogs in particular. Things like spit on the walls. I often don't catch it as it's happening, therefore it doesn't get cleaned up immediately. Therefore, it accumulates. We periodically clean the walls, but it's not the most enjoyable task. And it's time consuming. The walls are starting to get there again, but it just ain't happenin'.

I also still don't have all of my decorations up. But at this point, I don't care as much. I'm pooped! Seriously, next year, I will only host the immediate family, relaxed gathering. That's it. They're blood. It's too bad if they don't like the spit on the walls!LOL

Ha! I don't usually even see all the slobber on the walls and cabinets until after guests arrive. In fact, I am sometimes appalled to take a good look at myself when I am in my weekend clothing and notice all the slobber stains. Oh well.

Slobber cleanup has somehow become my husband's job (except for slobber on furniture). Thank goodness. Of course the slobber on guests cannot always be avoided.

I need to pass this along to my husband! He's cleaned some of the walls all on his own one time. But I would LOVE it if he took it over!

Boy, can I relate to the slobber on the walls...the ceilings....the woodwork... on my clothes... :) Then there are the hair balls on the floor .... and the hair on the sofa ..... not to mention the yellow snow...... I think I need to plan a holiday gathering so I will be motivated to clean!
